Joe Arpaio has scheduled yet another press conference for Tuesday to tell all of us what his “cold case posse” has found out about the circumstances of Barack Obama’s birth. He promises it will be “breathtaking.” What’s breathtaking is that this baboso continues to be taken seriously as a political and law enforcement figure by [...]
This week, our corner of the lefty interwebs has been clogged up with folks forwarding a story from Phoenix’s CBS 5 about, once again, Ken Bennett’s flirtation with birtherism. In the story, Morgan Loew talks about the two folks who encouraged the e-mails to Bennett that started this whole sideshow: Joseph Farah and Tom Ballantyne. [...]
This week, the local Democratic Party, who apparently didn’t get the memo that writing in a mocking tone is my department, sent out a press release bragging that not only has the entire Democratic slate filed (unless you count the unendorsed Joe Flores and whackjob Marshall Home), but that no Republican has. Local Republican flack [...]

The White House released a copy of Barack Obama’s birth certificate today. It won’t make a darned bit of difference.
I have to give her credit for this one, or else the Republic will say that I’m not gracious:
This from Talking Points Memo: According to his office, State Rep. Carl Seel (R) is currently en route to New York City to powow with [Donald] Trump over HB 2177, a bill which would require all candidates for office to prove their citizenship to the Secretary of State’s office before they can appear of Arizona [...]
The “issue” of Barack Obama’s birth certificate has become so important to a large segment on the right that it has become difficult for a Republican candidate to admit that the man was born here. Of course, saying anything that would placate the “birther” crowd is a sure way to get branded as a few [...]
Remember when I gave Trent Franks some props for not buying into this birther nonsense? I take it all back. Here is Franks quoted in Politico: Taking the birther thing to a new level, archconservative Rep. Trent Franks (R-Ariz.) is considering filing a lawsuit to put President Obama on the spot over his birth documents, [...]
Ladies and Gentlemen, Orly Taitz says that she is thinking about running for office. You know, people say that she can’t run for president because she was born in Moldova. But the people backing her are clever. I hear some nefarious forces made sure that birth announcements were placed in the Orange County Register way [...]
Today is the birthday of a certain Barack Hussein Obama. He was born in Hawaii. Yes, Hawaii, you jackass. Happy Birthday, Mr. President. NB: For those keeping track, it is also the birthday of Governor Ted Strickland, Grand Ayatollah Ali-Al Sistani, Ian Broudie, Billy Bob Thornton and last but far from least, Louie Armstrong. Lauren [...]
