Scratch what I said before. The Tucson Sentinel has reported via tweet that Tom Horne’s lead has fallen to 420 votes. Maricopa County elected officials, who have a lot of sway in these matters given the nature of Republican primaries, have indicated that a lead of 200 votes or less would necessitate a recount.
Jason Rose’s relentless Twitter feed reports that Andrew Thomas will make a “statement” this afternoon.
UPDATE: Thomas’s ray of hope is that there are several thousand uncounted ballots in Maricopa County. Despite this, Tom Horne’s statewide lead seems to be holding steady and that’s why some think this may be Thomas throwing in the towel. Then [...]
