Ree-Frickin’-Diculous

Just as I thought I’d have nothing but the presidential race to write about, our friends at the State Republican Party have decided to help me out by sending out a poorly thought out press release attacking Gabrielle Giffords on, of all issues, domestic violence.
It doesn’t start out as an attack. If you were just […]

Guns Don’t Kill People; Gay People Getting Married on the Other Hand…

The bill (well it’s two bills, actually, but let’s not get all technical) that would put a ban on gay marriage on the ballot next year seems to be making its way through both houses of the legislature.
The amusing moments in the hoo-hah over this item happened last week when people started asking Tim Bee, […]

If I Were In Charge…

One of R-Cubed’s correspondents reports that Tim Bee told some people at a meeting of educational administrators yesterday that if he and Marsha Arzberger were in charge, this whole budget situation would be resolved.
Well…that’s very nice. Frankly, if any individual legislator were in charge, the budget situation would be resolved. Even if if was this guy. […]

After All That?

Today, Jack Harper’s Government Committee quietly held a hearing and re-appointed General David Rataczak as the Adjutant General of the Arizona National Guard. The appointment passed 6-0 after months of Harper holding it up due to his own tantrum and Tim Bee refusing to intervene on behalf of Rataczak.
Well…that’s nice. I just wonder why it couldn’t have been […]

Tim May Have Been Valedictorian at Emily Gray, but His Campaign Can’t Earn a “Bee” in Math

Anyone remember when Tim Bee announced that Meg Econ, one of his campaign staffers, had assured folks that the campaign had already raised over $300,000?
Now that we can actually see the reports, it seems that Bee’s campaign has only raised $285,694. Which, for you fiscal conservatives out there, is not “well over $300,000.”
(An aside here: […]

S’ok Kimble, I’ll Let the R Cubed Legal Department Handle This One

At 7:18 AM yesterday, Mark Kimble wrote this on the Tucson Citizen’s blog:
[Tim] Bee plans to make it all formal Saturday morning at Palo Verde High School, where he is an alum.
Maybe he should rethink the location.
In 2006, Democrat and former television news anchor Patty Weiss showed up at Palo Verde High School – her […]

He’s Doing What? Who Knew?

People keep telling me that Tim Bee is going to tell us whether or not he’s going to run for congress this weekend.
Wow. I wonder what he is going to say?
According to his press release, he’s announcing Saturday morning at Palo Verde High School. For those who like unintentional symbolism, a candidate announced at Palo […]

It’s Like Harper’s Job Is To Provide Me With Stuff To Write

Jack Harper, our favorite small-minded vindictive legislator, is at it again. He has filed a bill, SB 1064, that allows unaffiliated voters to vote in primaries.
“Gee, Tedski, that doesn’t sound so vindictive. Maybe you should step back and let Harper do his job for a change. Don’t you have something else to write about?”
Ah…but remember […]

Tymoteusz Pszczoła i Jacek Harfista Pokazą Komuś Gdzie Raki Zimują Generałowi Rataczakowi

A conflict that has been simmering for the past few months is about to come to a boil. You may remember that at the beginning of the summer there was a dispute over the reappointment of Arizona’s National Guard Adjutant General, General David Rataczak. Senator Jack Harper, Chariman of the Goverment Committee, refused to schedule a […]

The Ever Vigilant Jack Harper Gets to the Bottom of Our State’s Budget Woes

The Phoenix Business Journal recently published an article about Phoenix-area leaders travelling to Ireland to find out about the the phenomenal growth in their technology sector there.
In response, a fellow named Tom Jenney from the Arizona Federation of Taxpayers wrote a letter saying that Ireland’s low corporate income tax is the real secret to their […]
