A Bit Premature

Jim Nintzel over at the Weekly had a take on the Governor’s race that I’m very surprised that I haven’t heard more:

[I]t’s bad news for Dave Bradley, the state lawmaker from midtown Tucson who was mulling a gubernatorial run. Given how little name ID he has statewide, Bradley’s odds were long to begin with, but [...]

Go Cruise Around With Lady Luck

Yeah, by the time I got confirmation, y’all already had it from a dozen sources. I think I had it first though. Not to brag or anything, of course.
I spoke with someone close to Jim Pederson’s operation, and he elaborated on the publicly stated reasons for him leaving the race. Pederson had already been acting [...]

To Spite Their Faces…

So, on Saturday I was talking to Terry Goddard and Bruce Babbitt. I bring this up because one benefit of this blog is it gives me the chance to name drop once in a while. Okay, more than once in a while. I mean, aren’t you impressed by all the important people I run with?

It’s a Gang of Four, but Without Jian Qing or Jon King

Stay tuned.

Something Else on the Internet About ED…

Word has leaked out to this intrepid blogger that the search for a new executive director for the Arizona Democratic party has been winnowed (sort of, I’ll get to that later) to two candidates: former Raúl Grijalva staffer Luís Heredia and current acting executive director Devin Rankin.
One of the reasons for this drawn out process [...]

From the Attorney General’s office:
The Arizona Attorney General’s Office today announced that its hand count of the ballots cast in the May 2006 Pima County Special Election affirmed the results of the Regional Transportation Authority (RTA) election of 2006.
The RTA election consisted of two separate questions. The first asked voters to indicate yes or no [...]

Cherny In, and Much to My Disappointment, Will Not Be Changing His Name to Joey Bishop

Andrei Cherny will be making his official announcement tomorrow morning that he is a candidate for state treasurer at the state capitol. Here he is in a video that is available on his website:

Most recently, Cherny was employed with Terry Goddard’s office, a post he left in January. This made for controversy of the [...]
