The Phoenix City Council voted this afternoon to appoint Michael Nowakowski Vice-Mayor.
Nowakowski is the first Hispanic to become Vice-Mayor in this century as well as the first Polish-Mexican to achieve this distinction since statehood.
I must say as someone of mixed Polish and Mexican heritage that the selection of beverages at today’s “beer summit” is offensive to me. What, no Tecate? No Żywiec? No Dos Equis? No Okocim?
Where is Glenn Beck to speak out on this? Surely this slap against those of us of Slavo-Hispanic heritage is another example [...]

I never follow Phoenix city council races, but a corresponent up there in the Valley of the Yakes sent me some information on a certain Michael Nowakowski who is running up there. I don’t know much about him, but one thing is obvious:
