I have accepted a position in the office of City Councilman Paul Cunningham. I am set to start on October 8th.
Neither the councilmember nor anyone on his staff have asked me to take this blog down. Still, it would be hard for many people to separate my writing from my representing the councilmember. I don’t see how I can do both roles well.
I’ll keep writing here until I make my official start. Also, I’ll keep writing about the Beautiful Game, fútbol and piłka nożna over at How Flair is Punished and the Sentinel.
Seven years is a good run, ennit?

Nooooo!!!! First Patterson, now you, give up blogging?!?!
Any recommendations on alternatives?
Damn you! — I mean, congratulations, Ted. I guess people will have to make do with the more longwinded blogs (cough…Blogforarizona…cough) instead of your terse, to-the-point, on-the-money postings. Don’t be a stranger, hear?
Congratulations, Tedski! And congratulations to Council Member Cunningham on a great hire!
Congratulations, Ted!
That blows, by the way.
NOOOOOOOOOO! Ok, congratulations, Ted! But promise us that if you get to a point where you are not working for a pol or running for office yourself that you will return to political blogging. Alternatively consider turning the blog over to a qualified friend or relative who can keep us informed, albeit without your specific sense of humor and depth of historic knowledge.
This is the best news ever. You have been an “major” embarassment to our community for years.
I’m glad you got a paying job.
While the signs of blog fatigue have been clear for a while, this is truly sad news for political junkies throughout this-here state.
Buena suerte Ted.
Congratulations Ted! Nice to see someone who’s conflict of interest adverse in government.
Sorry to see you go Ted, and good luck at Paul’s Council office. I have read your blogsite frequently so will miss your online presence.
Gonna miss you. Hope you can clean up Cunningham’s act!
Well, there goes my morning ritual. Still, congratulations, Ted! You will be missed. RRR is a great source of information and commentary.
