Clinton Endorses Cherny

Well, that’s kinda interesting:

Congressional candidate Andrei Cherny today earned the support of a leader who knows a thing or two about fighting — and getting real results — for middle class families: President Bill Clinton.

President Clinton said Cherny, who served as a senior aide in the Clinton White House, has the potential to make an important difference for Arizona and the country.

“In Congress, Andrei will work to improve the quality of our public schools, create good new jobs, and defend Social Security and Medicare,” said President Clinton. “I know Andrei will get real results for middle class families because he’s already done it. And, I’m confident he’ll bring to Congress exactly what we need in Washington: a willingness to think new and think big.”

I’ve been trying to keep my head down in this race (always good to do in a food fight), but I’ve been struck by how little traction Cherny has gotten, which may be why he’s unveiling this little nugget now.

Tedski, I have remained neutral in this race until now because of my past Democratic Party responsibilities. All three of these candidates are fine people, but I’ve gotta vote for one in the primary. Andrei has sent out (I’ve received 3) some excellent mail pieces, and his tag line on all his stuff about protecting the middle class is on target. Plus, he prominently states that he is a “Democratic” candidiate for Congress. I think Bill Clinton’s endorsement will be pivotal, and believe that he has the best chance to win in November. This issue ALWAYS guides my decision on which Democrat to vote for.

Wonder if he would have endorsed after watching this. Andrei (I left the Az Dem Party in Shambles) Cherny gets his ass handed to him by Sinema and Shapira.
