Keeping It a Bit Under the Radar

R-Cubed’s crack intelligence division has acquired the handouts that Frank Antenori and his campaign distribute at meetings.

The first is one of those resumes that candidates hand out. Pretty typical stuff.

More interesting are the ones that compare Antenori to the other candidates. One is a comparison of Antenori to the other three candidates, and right at the top is a hit at Jesse Kelly’s electability:

Spent 1.6 million and lost in a year when Reps won every other targeted race

It’s interesting for Antenori to talk electability when he’s spent much of the past couple of years calling his possible midtown constituents lazy, but he’s got a point there. As evidence of his electability, Antenori points out that he’s won races for the state house and senate…and precinct committeeman.

He other hits at Kelly are for running off to Texas and his lack of a college degree. He also points out that the other two candidates lack electorial experience.

Also, he’s got a special hit at Martha McSally. The piece purports to be an “E-mail from a Cochise County Tea Partier,” and takes down McSally for her lack of knowledge of an array of issues.

In both that piece and the comparison piece, Antenori keeps making mention of McSally being in “Europe.” I don’t know if he’s trying to use that as some weird, oblique way of saying she’s a closet socialist or knows too many French people, but he fails to mention that her time over there was for her military service. Poking at her for time overseas is little weird for a guy who claims he knows about border policy because of his work in Botswana.

Making a special hit at McSally is odd to because, in both finance reports and polling, both Antenori and McSally are trailing the other candidates. What, is there a bronze medal he’s trying for?

Simply put, Jesse Kelly has neither the brains, credibility or honesty for public office, the will for fighting or the compassion to represent the people of southern Arizona either CD8 OR CD2.
