  • Yeah, but Brett Mecum knows that the sheriff’s deputies are too busy running saturation patrols for cracked taillights and harrassing political opponents, so he can get away with real crimes and not have to worry about a thing.

  • You just can’t make this stuff up.

  • Nobody here seems to care. I thought AZ was becoming a third world state, but I was wrong. We are already there. I think I have lost hope. Arpaio is now harassing Wilcox’s attorney for having the temerity to work for her! The accused have no right to legal representation in Maricopa County and the brown shirts are out of control, yet there is no public outrage.

  • Does anybody have any word about why the US Attorney’s office has been sitting on this?

  • I know we really can do better, but boy, do we have our work cut out for us.

  • I’ve decided that in protest of the Sheriff of Nottingham and Prince John, when I attend the professional conference I am supposed to attend in Maricopa county in February, I will stay in a motel outside of the county line and drive in. I will also make a point of eating at a restaurant that is either outside the county line or on reservation land.

One small protest from one person (and the buck or two in taxes that won’t go to Maricopa county probably won’t be noticed,) but I pledge to do it because it’s the right thing to do.
