We are already talking about another special session. I have a question: how many of these do we have to have before they are no longer, well, special?

If the majority would work with the minority and expand the sales tax base then the answer would be: Just 1.

Rumor has it that there will be a “very special session” which may run as a two-part season finale. Sources are somewhat coy about whether it will feature drug addiction, death, a surprise wedding, or all three. Old characters from earlier in the season will certainly make an appearance, but there are unlikely to be any major changes in the cast, though there is general agreement that it is necessary.
It is unlikely that the move will save the show, however, since the series jumped the shark a long time ago.

If we replaced these guys with Ernie, Bert, Oscar, Elmo and Big Bird they’d get more done.
Plus, then it would be out in the open they are puppets (presumably of Grover) rather than it being some poorly kept secret that they are puppets of Grover.

Tom, I look forward to watching the old reruns years from now. So long as they stop making the new episodes.
