Unintentioned Irony

David Safier over at Blog for Arizona found out that a website called My Gay Phoenix was lifting his posts in their entirety with nary a link back to his blog. He did some digging and found out that it is par for the course for the guy running it, Eric Wood. Wood runs a site called OutGayLife and a company called Moonviper Web Services, which runs a bevy of blogs around the country.

Now here is the funny part: Safier wrote a post complaining about the thievery this morning. His complaint, in full, has ended up on Wood’s Phoenix and Tucson sites already. Wow.

  • Thanks for the heads up. If I can’t get Wood to remove the posts, I’ll just start writing some directed at the readership of his website. If anyone is reading, it might embarrass Wood enough that he’ll stop using my work — if he has any shame, that is.

  • You are assuming that he even has a readership.

Also, have we considered that Mr. Wood isn’t actively swiping content at all, but rather has some sort of algorhythm set up that seeks out content and re-posts it on his blog? It would by no means excuse his sleazy behavior, but it would explain why he seems to be posting so indescriminately, given that he would not actually be reading anything.
