Just So Y’all Understand…

Henry Fountain Ashurst’s “cold clammy hand of consistency” at it again, to wit:
Barack Obama is fully responsible for an economic downturn that started before he was president, and bank bailouts that happened under the previous administration and supported by his opponent in last year’s election are his fault too.
Jan Brewer has absolutely nothing to do with the legislative fiasco that occured while she happened to be governor, that is all Janet Napolitano’s fault. Please, she’s powerless, but re-elect her anyway.
Just wanted all of you to get that straight.

It’s the corollary to IOKIYAR – INARF. Aka It’s Never A Republican’s Fault.

Obama supported the bailouts that Bush and the Democratic lead Congress and Senate approved.
You seem to be giving the Congress a free pass when it comes to their actions prior to 2008. Giffords has been right there messing things up with Bush and Obama. But Obama’s inactions and overreaching makes Bush look pretty darn good right now.
So, even if you believe that Obama was given a lemon, instead of making lemonade, Obama’s chopping all the lemon trees down and refusing to allow any other crops to be planted.
Obama’s and Giffords’ ‘stimulus’ is only stimulating business to get out of the country. BP is selling off its refinery assets in the US and moving to Angola to refine oil.
Cap n trade will force jobs to relocate out of the country as well.
Out of control federal spending and the commotion about universal health care and who’s gonna pay for it is hindering business from hiring new employees. You can’t blame the small business owners that don’t know how much a new hire would cost them. A $50k a year job could easily turn into a $75k cost to the employer. That means the small business owner will just have to lower wages to justify the new hire; your $50k job just dropped to $35k.
I’m certainly not a fan of the state legislature, but the previous governor increased spending wildly without concern for the future and jumped ship to the Obama administration when she saw what was coming down the pipe. The State must reduce expenditures and increase revenue by becoming more business friendly. Some California businesses are already coming to the Phoenix area. Tucson and Pima aren’t getting them because of our crappy anti-business aura.
Back to Obama, he needs to learn the ‘rule of holes’; if you find yourself in a hole, first thing you need to do is STOP DIGGING.

“Increased spending wildly”? Interesting definition of “increase” and “wildly.”
But, I see your point: obviously, nothing is Jan Brewer’s fault. This is leadership.
