This was from the Yellow Sheet this morning. I gotta admit that I don’t know enough about these folks to read the tea leaves on this (is this just a move to set up for the campaign, for instance), so I leave that up to you, dear reader.
The governor’s office will announce within the next few minutes that Kevin Tyne is stepping down from his job as Brewer’s chief of staff – permanently. Eileen Klein, director of OSPB, will take his place.
“It’s a permanent change in leadership,” said Chuck Coughlin. “He’s leaving.”

It’s a permanent change in something, but I’d have a tough time classifying anything we’ve seen this year as ‘leadership.’

It seems that with his departure, others on the 9th Floor may be rethinking their previous plans to leave…
Meanwhile, consumers and agency staff are trying to assess the rationale behind the 9th Floor’s 15% cut exercise. Is this a roadmap for further reductions, a cautionary tale or a scare tactic? No matter the rationale the reality is that it this will have devastating effects on young children in Arizona–particularly those who are unfortunate enough to be born to poor parents.
