What Is Up With Our Senate Delegation?
Jon Kyl has gotten what can be called “unwated attention” for his recent dismissive comments about women’s health care. Now, some have been scrutinizing his full record on women’s issues and he’s, well, a bit lacking.
Now comes news that John McCain is campaigning for Virginia gubernatorial candidate Bob McDonnell. Yeah, McCain campainging for Republicans doesn’t seem that new, but he has been notably scarce in those sorts of appearances lately. He’s making one of those rare appearaces for the guy who famously called working women “detrimental” to society. This is the sort of guy he wants to stand next to?
I don’t think that either McCain or Kyl have some dislike of women, but I do have to wonder how often they listen to them.

Don’t forget that both of them voted against the Franken Anti-Rape amendment, which allowed employees of federal contractors who are sexualy assaulted in the workplace to seek redress from their employers. We still haven’t heard an explanation from either one of them on this one.

Well, I’m a woman and I think they dislike me.

Well, when I linked to your post on Kyl and the maternity coverage, I put up this post
and one of my occasional (and actually I think fairly conservative) female commenters wrote this:
Well screw him too.
Most health insurance plans pay for viagra, but he thinks the mother should pay for the delivery room.
Typical guy way of thinking. Too bad I can’t get my vote back from when he ran against Peterson. [sic]
This is someone who did vote for Kyl, and she got pretty ticked off at him for saying that and wants her vote back.
