Remember When?

Think back to 2006 when Jim Pederson was running for the Senate. It was always amusing when I would read Republican operatives and bloggers taking potshots at Pederson for his wealth and supposedly trying to “buy” a Senate seat. All of a sudden, Republicans were skeptical of wealthy candidates and excessive money in elections. It was too bad he lost: a win might have driven the Republicans to go into full Eugene Debs mode, railing against concentrated wealth and its effect on democracy.

Are those guys that made all those faux-populist comments against Pederson now going to support Wil Cardon for governor? It wouldn’t surprise me.

  • Wanna bet they are cheering wildly for the Supreme Court rehearing the case about “Hillary: the movie” and hope they will strike down McCain-Feingold and allow unlimited floods of corporate money to inundate our electoral system?

  • Well, Jim Pederson doesn’t have a lot of wealth anymore, he is stuck on Mr. Basha’s sinking boat.

Wil Cardon for Gov? Give me a break, the only thing Cardon has going for him is his money and his religion. People will support him based solely on his status within his church, if nothing else. Very similar to the way many do for Romney. It is a shame!

Vernon Parker is even worse! A RINO for sure.

I think I’m going to support Fife!
