I must say as someone of mixed Polish and Mexican heritage that the selection of beverages at today’s “beer summit” is offensive to me. What, no Tecate? No Żywiec? No Dos Equis? No Okocim?
Where is Glenn Beck to speak out on this? Surely this slap against those of us of Slavo-Hispanic heritage is another example of Barack Obama’s racism.

you can’t honestly tell me that you agree with or even remotely like obama? Your party was sold a bill of goods, and you can’t return them… I suppose you also like polisi or waxman…

I can’t speak for Ted, but for myself I find Obama to be a tremendous improvement over Bush, although disappointingly timid thus far. For all his supposed big plans, he’s been exceedingly moderate. On civil liberties issues, he’s copied Bush and then some. I don’t much care for having an elected monarch, whether I voted for him or not.
Pelosi and Waxman are national treasures. During the dark days of the Bush years, Waxman was one of the few in Congress pushing for accountability for the executive branch. Perhaps now that we have a Democratic President that will come back in school among the conservative set.

If you don’t understand why there are people that “agree with or even remotely like Obama,” a guy who despite some slippage enjoys pretty solid support from a big chunk of the people that you see every day, then it’s no wonder that your party is in trouble.

I don’t think there’s much DNC outreach to the Polish-Mexican population. After all, how many are there — and can’t they reach every one of you by simply posting on this blog?
