Ken Bennett, of all people, wrote a response to a post about rumors that he will run for governor that I called “Are the Sharks Circling?” I must give the guy credit for keeping with the spirit of this blog:
I am not a shark. I have never been a shark and do not intend to become a shark. While I enjoy the ocean as well as any other Arizona native, I do not reside in the water. I reside in Gilbert, and try to get to Prescott on the weekends. I only possess one row of teeth, of normal size, and have only one set of eyelids. And while many opine all elected officials spineless, a recent x-ray confirmed I have real bones, with cartilage only in the limited and appropriate places.
Oh, btw, I am running for Secretary of State.
I would be remiss if I didn’t note that his response did not contain the phrase “I’m not running for governor” or any permutation of such a statement.

Ah, such fine sifting of public statements. Even if he said “I am not running for governor.” that still wouldn’t preclude him from deciding at some future point from running for governor.
This remind me that it is time to read Bob Barr’s book “The meaning of IS” again.

I loved the “BTW” use – he got some “cool factor points” from me today – too bad they are worth notta.
vwgal– how many cool factor points does a person get deducted when they run for congress in a district they don’t live in, come in in fourth place, and then decide being a douche on political blogs is a worthwhile form of entertainment?
That’s why I concluded with “too bad they are worth notta”
It was just funny that the SOS used “BTW” instead of spelling it out.
You are so cool Dude! hahahaha Sorry, had too.
