Tick…tick…tick…

Not Russell PearceSomething important to remember about yesterday’s events at the legislature: after Russell Pearce’s embarasment about not being able to get the budget bills through his committee, they shopped until they found one that could pass the bills, the education committee. Here’s to hoping that this is an indication that Pearce has passed the zenith of his power.

How long before he blames his failure on Mexicans?

The fact that when they couldn’t pass the appropriate committee, they just found another one more to their liking is an indication of how little respect they have for the process, but also how desperate they’ve become. Word is out from some Republicans that they won’t be able to pass this budget in the full Senate. So, what committee do they move it to then?

Marszałek Senatu Bob Burns clearly doesn’t control his caucus anymore and it seems as though Tlatoani Kirk Adams has the same problem in the house. Anyone think that Jim Weiers is having a great laugh about that?

Midnight tonight…tick…tick…tick…

  • If you hate what this legislature is doing then take action. The only way to improve this state is to take the House and Senate. We have to pull together and support candidates directly around the state who are running….district by district.

Here is a start. Go to Cheryl Cage’s webpage and donate. She is going for a rematch against Al Melvin in District 26, a seat that is very vulnerable. It will take cash to pick this one up., so donate now.

If others have candidates around the state in other districts, do send along. If I donate, and you donate, and we pull together, we can do this.

By the way, I am not a member of her campaign committee or a volunteer…YET.

We need someone to challenge Vic Williams in LD 26 – Where art thou, O! savior of LD 26?????

  • I agree completely Francine! I will certainly help, donate, invite to my home to meet my neighbors, any good candidate that will take him on.

  • The one thing we can do to help whomever is recruiting candidates is to let them know that we will get behind them both financially as well as with volunteers.

Vic, I believe, is running scared. He knows his seat isn’t safe, which is why he is now triangulating all over the place.
