Just Like Doc Savage, A Man of Bronze
Last night I attended a reception in Phoenix where I was awarded third place in the Best Blogger category by the Arizona Capitol Times. As much as it frustrates me to rank behind Greg Patterson, it frustrates me more that both of us ranked behind Real Clear Politics, who ain’t even Arizonans! Sheesh.
Okay, I’m calm. I’m calm. Count to ten. All the pretty horses…
Since the awards are voted on by Capitol Times readers, I know that it was because a lot of you that I got the award. Thank you for that.
One of the presenters commented that there have been suggestions for other categories for next year. For example, one member suggested a “Best Shoes” category. I have no idea who would have suggested that one. I’m wondering when they will award a “Best Gut” category, but hey.

Best Gut would be Russell Smolden. C’mon, it’s not even close.

Picking non-Arizona based blogs and they choose RCP over the CSMonitor’s Vote blog?
The only explanation….RCP was sleeping with the judges.

Yeah, I noticed the RCP win too. The embarassing part was that one of my Reps, David Schapira, was quoted supporting RCP.
Dear Denizens of West Washington,
It’s called the *Arizona* Capitol Times for a reason, and the “best of” votes should be for AZ places and people.
Sheeesh…
