I’ve been sick off an on since last Wednesday, so my posts have been briefer and have less of that keen insight that you, the discerning R-Cubed reader, come to this blog to see. I’m doing better today, but will probably have nothing interesting until this afternoon.

During today’s regularly scheduled briefing at 10:30, the house Democratic caucus will be releasing their own alternative budget. A press release promises that it will be “a common-sense, responsible plan that balances the state’s 2010 budget shortfall.”

The state Supreme Court on Wednesday overturned two school voucher programs, ruling they violated the Arizona Constitution’s prohibition against providing state aid to private schools.
Last night I attended a reception in Phoenix where I was awarded third place in the Best Blogger category by the Arizona Capitol Times. As much as it frustrates me to rank behind Greg Patterson, it frustrates me more that both of us ranked behind Real Clear Politics, who ain’t even Arizonans! Sheesh.
