I’m thinking of starting a rumor that Bill Richardson stepped aside to make room for Raúl Grijalva in the cabinet. Who’s with me?
I recieved a missive from a highly placed Arizona Democrat:
This fact seems relevant – Paul [Cunningham] is right. [Bruce] Babbitt was born while his Dad was on an extended trip to LA, and spent his first year there but was raised in Flag.

I’m not taking sides on the LA/Flagstaff question, and don’t care, but this statement by a “highly placed Arizona Democrat” makes me smile. Now that we know where his “Dad” was when Bruce was born, maybe someone can provide info about where his “Mom” was at that same time?

1) Does this mean that Paul Cunningham has earned himself a “file under” category?
2) As for the Richardson / Grijalva issue, I find the spreading of unfounded rumors to be reprehensible, unconscionable, unfathomable, and furthermore un-American. But I did hear the same thing. It only makes sense that someone who passed up Ways and Means would be angling for Commerce.

If I were a jerk I would gloat about the Richardson debacle, but I won’t. That is not to say I can’t be a jerk at times, but with the posters here, it is just too easy.

The vetting process these days is important, every political move ever made may go under the microscope. Here are a few tips: make sure your future in-laws aren’t manufacturing illegal narcotics in their trailer park….err.. I can here Palin saying “DOH!!!!”. Grijalva in Commerce? Sorry, I think he is fine where he is. My bet would be on Mark Cuban if he wasn’t under indictment, so I am going to with the always safe play and say Michael Jordan!!! Gambing? DOH! Charles Barkley? DUI? DOH! Ok, OK , I heard the same thing about Grijalva too maybe he gets a nod for the cabinet after all.
