Word is that the Governor’s office cancelled a cabinet meeting scheduled for December 3rd. That is purported to be the day that Barack Obama would be announcing his national security team. The meeting was cancelled last week, but one source I have says that if the appointment stories are true, the governor may already have known what was up at that point.
Also, a bit of chisme that I heard last night made it to Daily Kos, which made me think that it was just another bit of hare brainyness. Now it’s up on The New Republic. Might Obama be doing this as a sop to John McCain?
UPDATE: I’ve been told that the Democratic Governors Association is meeting the week of the third, so that may have been the reason for the cancellation.

I think you are onto something. Obama met with McCain on Mon. McCain states he is running for Senate again on Tuesday and Tuedsay Obama mentions his AG pick and then Wed. it is leaked that she is top for AG. Now McCain has a safe Senate seat. These things don’t just happen they are all carefully planned.
