Looking Nothing Like Paul Giamatti, or William Daniels for that Matter

Local boy does good: Gen. John Adams was featured in tonight’s long-form Barack Obama ad. I did a short interview with Gen. Adams at the Democratic Convention.
Adams has been doing campaign work for Obama here as well as in Virginia and North Carolina and has been a passionate and articulate spokesman. He gave a fantastic speech about what George Bush has done to America’s standing in the world at the DGT awards luncheon.

I heart John Adams! I met him for the first time this past summer at his home in Tucson, when Mark and I crashed a party he was throwing in support of Obama and local candidates.
Adams is unfailingly polite and gracious. Even when presented with an idiot (like me) who gushed about her 10 years as an enlisted slob, he made me feel worthy.
It was so wonderful to travel to Denver with him as a delegate and to see him walk onstage as one of many military leaders in support of Obama at Mile High Stadium.
I swear to God the best part of Obama’s infomercial thingy was seeing John Adams talk about his support of him.
Which is saying something because the 30 minute ad, in totality, actually made this jaded Diva tear up.
Which I almost never do because I am nothing if not a steely-eyed pragmatist who never cries.
Except when people like Barack Obama and General John Adams say the kind of things that make me cry.
