I Resemble that Remark

I go into palpatations when reading the low-rent racists that pontificate on the Star and Citizen message boards. I go off on our two papers for giving the space for such garbage, but at least they have the excuse that the don’t choose to print this stuff so much as stand by and allow it to be posted.

So, I was surprised the other day to find a letter to the editor (yes, that is the section where they pick and choose what gets printed) from a guy who accuses Citizen Pooh-Bah Mark Kimble of not just being unamerican, but a Slav:

What kind of name is “Kimble” anyway? Sure doesn’t sound American to me – probably short for Kimblowzsky.

Where was he born? Does he have a U.S. birth certificate?

Geez, if we are still tossing aspersions at Americans of Eastern European background (and tossing them at people who aren’t even of Eastern European extraction), what chance do other minorities have?

As for Kimble, if he feels put upon by the non-Slavic majority, he can turn to us and we will be happy to call him nasz brat.

  • Was not the Fugitive based on a real life case of Dr. Kimble being accused of his wife’s murder when he had nothing to do with it?

It is also a county in Texas (those raging commies), and it is a derivative of Campbell-a celtic/gaelic name.

    That guy is a twit.

  • The Republic can’t seem to go a day without printing a letter where someone claims that Democrats want socialism.

  • Democrats want to save the failing hospital systems by ensuring everyone is covered by an insurance policy–how is that socialize medicine? The hospitals love it what patients come in with coverage. The more people covered the better for everyone. It isn’t rocket science so the Dems better counter each one of these attacks straight on and call a spade a spade.

We all face the real problem of having access to medicine regardless of insurance. I hope more smart kids decide to become doctors and nurses!

What is the Republicans solution for our failing institutions? Gaining more doctors and nurses? They like things the way they are–tell me, how many people have not had to spend hours waiting to see a doctor at some point? FRAME it Dems
