My Preview of McCain’s Speech
No need for me to watch it, besides, UNAM Pumas are playing Harbor View FC on Fox Soccer Channel tonight.
Here is my summary of what John McCain will say tonight:
My friends, we ought to all set aside our differences and do exactly what I want.

McCain had the previous two nights of his nominating convention exemplified by nasty, hypocritical, partisan hate-filled speeches [knives with a smile!] and then he says he wants everyone to play nice and put partisanship aside for the good of the country. The “straight talk” express ran off the tracks long ago. The Democrats criticized McCain, but with not near the amount of virulence, hatred, dishonesty, and disingenuousness with which Palin, Guilliani, Romney, etc. attacked Obama, Biden, liberals, Democrats, community organizers, the media, etc.
And McCain’s machine attacks the “evil” media for vetting Palin–she supported the Bridge to Nowhere before she opposed it, did not return the $200+ million dollars which Alaska received which originally was supposed to go for the bridge, supported the pursuit of earmarks, etc. The articles I’ve seen recently indicated that she and her state fed big-time at the federal trough–the [nasty, yes] moniker “Pork-barrel Palin” is appropriate.

OMG! I liveblogged at Channel 12 through the whole thing. I wish I’d saved myself the trouble and read your post. I could’ve phoned it in.

I listened to Sen. McCain’s speech over and over again until I committed it to memory, and he never once said that. You should issue a correction and an apology.
