Morning Glory
After this morning’s delegate breakfast, staunch Hillary Clinton backer Jojene Mills called for a meeting of Southern Arizona delegates. At that meeting (which included Barack Obama coordinator Kelly Paisley), Mills and other Baja Arizona Clinton stalwarts like Judy Nagle pledged to join the campaign. The Obama people that I talked to were quite pleased about this. They will, in all likelyhood, vote for Clinton during this afternoon’s roll call. But, then again, I’ve been told to expect something special in today’s roll call.

I saw a Mason-Dixon poll out last week that had the Arizona margin in single digits.
I believe that if we really work at it there is no reason we can’t give McCain a challenge in his so-called ‘home’ state.
And my favorite line yesterday was Napolitano’s suggestion that we continue our Arizona tradition of breeding Presidential losers.

JoJene is a smart woman who cared very much about Hillary’s run for office but she also knows what is needed to secure a better future for the country and that is to unite the Democrats.
As much as I tried to explain to the posters on this blog the frustration felt by the Hillary supporters for various reasons, all I got was a bunch of flack. I should have expected that seeing as none of us are great leaders. Hillary was able to get people to see the big picture and get these people on board and it looks as if Jojene was also able to convince people to join the program. Good Job Ms. Mills!

I never quite bought the whole celebration part of the prodigal son story.
