We Are Now Back to “Not Black Enough”

Toby Keith on Glenn Beck’s show last week:

I think that the black people would say, he don’t talk, act, or carry himself as a black person…I’m saying that’s what I think that they would say.

So, this begs the question, Toby, how exactly do black people talk, act and carry themselves? I ask this since you are an expert on black people now.

NB - Max Blumenthal has more on this over at Huffington Post. I only post the link to it because my brother will note that Neko Case is mentioned.

  • When I want to know the pulse of Black America, the first person I turn to is Toby Keith. He’s like the Chuck D of country music.

I’ve always been impressed by Toby’s nuanced assessment of “them Eye-talians and Ay-rabs” as well.

  • Tedski: Aren’t you rubbing a little salt into your brother’s psychic wounds?

Toby Keith makes me want to vomit. And he’s building a stupid restaurant in Mesa. Gross!

  • One thing that Barack Obama has that is undeniably black is his skin color, which is exactly how West Virginians saw him and voted. (Sad to say that even the Dems there are racist.) I do believe that is enough for the African American communities.

  • I heard that Toby Keith is going to be defending his thesis on the Merits of Segregation at Howard next week, I hope that he has an Ignorant Redneck to English translator so all the African-Americans can truly understand how white-trash with money acts, and speaks.

  • Toby’s done a lovely video to promote a song in his upcoming movie. Both the song and video are an homage to lynching. Birth Of A Nation 2.0.
