Right Wing Ideology With an Emphasis on “Idiot.”

Many of y’all are aware of the ongoing crusade…nay jihad…that many on the right have been waging against Isabel García. You see, García committed the unspeakable offense of opposing Joe Arpaio and doing so publicly. She’s a public employee, but according to the ministers of right wing political correctness in this state, she gave up her first amendment rights (at least when she expresses left wing views) the moment she accepted her first paycheck. This sort of thing can’t stand, right? As such, they have been demanding that she be fired.

One of the main leaders in the movement against García has been turkey morning DJ turned right wing talk show host (is that really a promotion?) Jon Justice. Not only has Justice been taking to the radio airwaves to feed bile filled red meat to his knuckledragging listeners, but he has made classy little videos such as this one:

Stupid more than offensive. Although, the sombrero is telling. Makes me wonder if Justice’s view of our Hispanic population has ever advanced beyond Speedy Gonzales cartoons.

(He didn’t know the word “Adios”? Geez Jon, exactly how long have you lived in Tucson? Heck, did you ever even watch Sesame Street? Oh, and your videographer needs to learn the difference between Spanish and Italian.)

Anyhow, there apparently was another video that was far more offensive that had Justice fondling that García piñata making sexually explicit and racist statements. Justice’s bosses realized that the video was a bit too much and had it (and the one above) taken down from YouTube. Someone who saw the video before it was taken down took a few of Justice’s lines. I’ll post the video as soon as I can get a hold of it.

Isabel do you feel like I fondled you?

No, I love it when you hold me, you make me feel soo warm and cuddly, I do want to go home with you. You make me feel like the warm insides of a chimichanga.

Now Isabel does it offend you when I say chorizo

No I love chorizo and nachos, tacos, jalapenos, and burritos

Where do you come from Isabel?
I come from the dust of the migrant trail.

[Jon Justice laughing, camera man asks what accent is that?]

I don’t know one of those Mexican accents, which one is it?

Once again, so classy.

The good news here is that there is a sponsor revolt (unlike García’s extra-cirricular activities, these sponsors are asked to pay for Justice’s misanthropic blather). Many of the sponsors who bought a Journal Broadcasting “package” didn’t necessarily want to be listed as a sponsor of Justice’s show, especially after this garbage surfaced this afternoon.

  • By now, it should be obvious that “right wing” and “idiot” is a tautology.

  • What folks may not realize is Jon Justice derived his broadcast moniker from a french language source, thus the proper pronunciation (and I urge all to use from now on) is “zhan zhooostice”. I share this trivia in case anyone wondered if the broadcaster in question had any synonymity with the terms fairness or integrity.

  • “Right wing political correctness” has also become a tautology. I’ve literally never seen a group of people so terrified of criticism in my life. Or healthy competition. Republicans act like it’s an affront to God and America that they should have opponents in political contests. Or that those opponents should outshine them in any way (witness the childish tantrums thrown by the r/w punditocracy to Obama’s Berlin speech today). Of course a wingnut thug like Justice is going to attack a public servant for having the audacity to oppose Joe Arpaio. I mean, it’s not like the poor delicate thing (AKA America’s Toughest Sheriff)could ever fight his own battles. That’s why we taxpayers of Maricopa Co. have to fund an entire department of PR flacks, including one devoted entirely to international PR, IwishitwasnttruebutIsweartogoditis, to protect our precious little lamb from the deadly barbs of people like Isabel Garcia.

  • Actually, the original video where Jon Just-an-ASS goes off on his illicit fantasies about Mrs. Garcia is still readily available and floating around the Internet; I have posted a copy at my own blog:

The SmackDog Chronicles: The Dark Side of Wingnuttery: John “Justice”, Immigrant Bashing, and Rape Fantasies

Being a Black man who is no stranger to right-wing slanders of people of color, I share the consensus of total outrage at this asshat’s actions. May he rot in the pits of a thousand Hells.
