My wife and I have spent untold years waking up on Sunday morning and watching his show. I know it is almost silly to say this but I am deeply saddened and I am really going to miss him. To me, he is a major and massive part of this era in news.
The reason why Tim Russert was so successful as an interviewer was his extraordinary prep he did before MTP.
I sincerely doubt the young journalists of today would really be ready to take on the amount of work that goes in to really understanding the subject matter.

His passing is a huge blow to political coverage and interviewing everywhere.

I share the tributes to Tim Russert. He WAS very good.
On a local note, former KGUN reporter David Gregory undoubtedly will be one of the folks considered to replace him.
