Ya know, folks on our side who would deign to think that Democrats will do okay in Arizona this year are just plain dellusional. Nuts. Bonkers. Off the rails. Taking one too many doses of funny mushrooms. Sniffing Elmer’s Glue.
That’s right, we are so screwy that we think that one can get high off of Elmer’s Glue.
Yep, anyone that thinks Democrats have anything approaching a shot this year has a couple of screws loose.
Anyone, and I mean ANYONE that thinks that Arizona is a swing state is definitely looney.
That’s the last I’ll say about that.

This State will totally go McCain… The democrats will be able to have a good election cycle in Arizona with CD1, holding CD5 etc and picking up some LD reps.

McCain couldn’t even get a majority of GOP votes in the AZ primary Feb 5. Many Arizonans of all political stripes are mad at the GOP, for good reason, and recognize McCain is much more of a DC-insider than a true Arizonan.
As it appears right now, AZ could go for Obama, if the Obama campaign and Dem party bosses are willing to fight for it (unlikely).
The good news is AZ is becoming a more progressive state.

That article said that McCain “has launched a campaign to silence his conservative critics who live, literally, in his back yard.”

There’s nothing I’d like to see more than the RNC and McCain the Crapnificent waste money to hang on to Arizona in a race where he’s going to have much bigger fish to fry.

I would rather focus on more reasons why we could beat McCain- it keeps DC money and resources coming to DC.
