McClure Out?
Rumors up on West Washington are that Marian McClure is struggling to get signatures and support in her race for Corporation Commission.
If you remember, McClure was the one who had opposed the anti-gay marriage referendum, then voted for it and all but admitted it was so she could secure support in her primary.
(By the way, folks tell me that this bill is getting no where at all in the Senate. Sound and Fury and all that…)
So, the lesson here is, naked pandering to one side that ticks off the people that are already supporting you doesn’t get you anywhere. Even worse when you telegraph that pandering.

McClure may have hung herself politically with the betrayal.
I was at an event in Phx. in early May where Rep. Sinema was asking people to sign McClure’s petition. I was skeptical and did not sign. But I’m sure Sinema’s help and the help of many others immediately vanished, along with any signatures they had collected, as soon as McClure did the flip-flop.

Good for you Daniel–With the slew of decent dems running for AZCC I wonder why Rep. Sinema was heping her at all?
