Another Rumor Knocked Down, A Service Offered By This Here Blog Free of Charge
There was a rumor going around the capitol that Richard Kimball, the Democratic nominee to US Senate in 1986 and now the head of Project Vote Smart, was going to endorse Tim Bee.
This sounded weird to me, since Kimball’s current work keeps him from taking sides in elections by necessity. The closest he’s come is when earlier this year his group read John McCain off of their board when he refused to take their Political Awareness Test, which board members are supposed to encourage their colleagues to complete and is a requirement for them.
I called Kimball to find out what was up. Bee, it turns out, had been over for dinner at his house (he still maintains a residence in Tucson). The dinner, he pointed out, was a bipartisan affair; it also included a former staffer for Mo Udall. Kimball made it clear to me that he is not endorsing anyone in the CD 8 race or any other race. He doesn’t do that sort of thing any more.

Actually the rumor is correct, just the wrong Richard Kimble. It is Dr. Richard Kimble that will endorse Tim. He plans on making that announcement as soon as he finds that one-armed man.

Good. This saves me the trouble of burning all my Friends of Dean Martinez albums.

I didn’t know you were a fan of Dean’s….Does that mean you’ll support him when he runs for Governor?
