He’s Got That Right…

Josh Marshall on the “bitter” kerfluffle:
This has been one of the more comedic aspects of this 72 hours — watching a cavalcade of extremely wealthy pundits, editorialists and political operatives from New York and Washington tell me how rural Americans won’t stand for this.

Am I the only one who thought the full comments Senator Obama made were extremely insightful and drove right to the heart of why we (Democrats) have been losing voters in the rural and the South for years?

Obviously, Sen. Obama said what he thinks, and what he thinks is that people who aren’t like himself are stupid and shallow. Should he have to apologize for saying what he thinks? Of course not. Is what he thinks (and said) offensive. Well …duh? How do you like being called stupid and shallow?

A person must wonder when rural and poor folk look in the mirror, do they hear the voice of truth and act upon it for the better of themselves. Or do they lounge lazily on the andecdotes of comic characterizations held aloft by a president of priviledge? Like everyone else, truth either inspires or festers in pools of fear and self hatred.

TexAZ,
That isn’t even close to what Obama said but your statement is proof positive that no good insight will go unpunished.
Anyhow, everyone except lazy, mainstream media talking heads seems to be getting fed up with this kind of “reporting.”
Hillary’s stumps didn’t go so well yesterday when she tried to work this “bittergate” stupidity.
