Strange Visitor From Another Planet…
The keen among you have no doubt noticed that I have added a new blog to the blogroll, Mr. Super. This blog is anonymously written by a so far uncommitted super delegate. I am sworn to secrecy about who it is, but given that he has a “Mr.” in front of his name, y’all have already figured it is a guy. Also, he is not from Arizona.
Another point on that front, we actually have a vacancy among our own state’s super delegates. Donna Branch-Gilby’s run for county supervisor has left a vacancy in the First Vice Chair slot. So far, there are four candidates for this position: Carmen Villa Prezelski of Tucson (yes, I am somewhat related to her), Charlene Fernandez of Yuma, Harriet Young of Flagstaff and Diana Rhoades of Tucson. I’m sure someone will jump on my ass for being too pro-my Mom on my blog because of some imagined oath of neutrality I’ve taken. Anyway, expect this contest to be interesting given how few convention votes the nomination could be decided by.

Be good to your mom, Tedski. If anyone has problems with that, well, then they have problems.

If I had a vote, I’d vote for your mom! Go, Carmen, go!

It’s cool to be pro-mom, Tedski. I’m rooting for Charlene.
One of my best friend’s mom is Charlene Fernandez.

Yeah.. my best friend’s sister’s old college roommate once met your mom… so I say it should go to her!

Obviously Ed Espinoza from CA … one of the only “youthy” super delegates out there. I don’t know anyone else who is more likely to do a blog bragging about being a super delegate, but then be too timid and afraid of the consequences of doing so to be public about it , but then ask Tedski to blog about it to get more attention to it.
Tailor made Espinoza.

I like your m0m, but then I’ve also met or had dealings with at least two of the other candidates.
Unlike toto, I do get to vote. But likely I won’t make up my mind until the state party meeting, and a lot of what goes into it will be how committed they are to working with the DNC and the candidates to resolve any impasse as soon as possible after the primary voting is over so that we don’t end up with an ugly floor fight at the convention (my number one concern right now is to avoid one.)

Insert a “Your Mom” joke here!

Can I put in a plug for Diana Rhoades? She’s a great Democratic presence in Pima County. She’s gotten local Dems elected and works tirelessly (really, I mean like planting-a-thousand-trees-in-a-day tirelessly) to promote environmental causes.
But I like your mom too, Ted.

I agree, Paula. Diana is fantastic.
But as an Obama supporter… Go Ted’s mom!
