I want to demonstrate my commitment to maintaining the same level of availability that Congressman [Rick] Renzi provided to the citizens of eastern Arizona.
Sydney Hay to a meeting of the Graham County Republicans February 12th, Reported by the Eastern Arizona Courier February 25th.
To be fair to Hay, which is difficult for me, she said this well over a week before Renzi’s indictment. However, Renzi has been without committee assignments for nearly a year because of his legal troubles, and those legal troubles have left him so distracted that I can’t imagine that he has done a heck of a lot of representing his constituents. Renzi is a rather odd model to pick for congressional service. It would be like running for Tucson City Council promising to be just like Tom Saggau.

Hey Ski,
Don’t you keep up with anything north of Phoenix? Renzi’s constituent service was amazing before his difficulties began a year ago.

Hay made those comments a couple WEEKS ago. bad example. bad idea tying your campaign to renzi.

fair enough frankaz…no one ever accused Hay of being a good candidate. That’s why Mayes is salivating over the seat so much.
