Another Portrait in Principle
So, John Shadegg made it official…he’s running for re-election after all. This offers us Arizonenses a chance to further enjoy the fruits of the legislative brilliance of Pamela Gorman and Jim Waring.
The talk among political chaterers is that Shadegg’s resignation stunt was done to get himself a position in leadership. So much for “I need to spend more time with my family.”
Steve May run anyway. See…the joke there is that his last name can serve as a predicate.

Michelle-
I hope the “ugh” wasn’t for the Steve May pun.

More language-name games:
Ron Wood, if you let him. (from liner notes on a George Harrison album. Dark Horse, I believe)

I keep having this vision of Shadegg as Sally Field, exclaiming, “You like me! You really like me!”
Hope Bob Lord’s folks use this equivocation to its full benefit come the general election.
BTW, Shadegg’s office staff gets really rattled if you call them and ask why he voted a certain way….they’re not used to it. It’s a real good stress reliever if you have a bad day at work, but can’t yell at the boss. Try it!

I wonder how many Republicans will vote for such a proven “flip-flopper”.
