Johnny, Won’t You Come On Home…

This could ruin everyone’s plans.

A letter has been sent to John Shadegg signed by Mike Pence (who you may remember was the guy that found downtown Baghdad as safe as Indiana, at least when you have a well armed batallion with you) and 129 other Republican congressmen. They want him to stick around:

As your colleagues, your fellow conservatives, and your friends, we sincerely ask that you reconsider your decision to retire from Congress. John, you continue to inspire, embolden, and lead. The Republican Conference needs you here, the Conservative Movement needs you here, and the country needs you here. Please reconsider.

The only thing I can conclude is that these guys are easy to please.
