…Pure And Simple From the Eighth Dimension!
The Republicans have managed to find a candidate to run for house on the South Side: Justin Pierce.
This is from his blog:
Throughout our long journey together I will make it very easy for you to know where I stand on every issue that is important to our district, our state, and our country. I am going to fight for everything that is good in this land. Anything that is evil or corrupt will be my bitter enemy. My campaign slogan will be Justin Pierce “Tough on Evil.”
That’s good. I, for one, am tired of candidates like Daniel Patterson who talk about slaying infernal creatures and purifying this plane, but in the end, are soft on evil.
I need specifics though. Will he go after Chaotic Evil first, or does he start with Lawful Evil?

Obviously he starts with Lawful Evil. If there is one thing our current President and his administration have shown, it’s that they have no respect for Law (i.e., the Constitution).
Besides, Cheney is clearly Chaotic Evil.

Ha! I liked this post. Another D & D fan. You can’t be all bad. No, I think Cheney is lawful evil. He clearly manipulates the law through like-minded lawfully evil lawyers to do his evil bidding. Chaotic evil would be him just picking up his shotgun after a bender and mowing down Peloski. Not his style.

OK, I guess it is time for more than just financial reporting from candidates, they must now report their Strength, Dexterity, Constitution , Intelligence and Wisdom scores…… Charisma will be quite evident, so no need for that!
And in case of a tie, we can forgo Show Low’s traditional tie-breaker game of show-low, we can have the candidates roll a 20-sided hit die to pick the winner.
(My great uncle Leon Taylor lost the Show Low mayoral election in 1988 via the show low tiebreaker)

Dr. Matt Heinz is another Democratic candidate for the LD-29 legislative seat.

Has he actually moved to LD-29 yet? Just curious.

That is the campaign slogan I have been looking for!
“Because Experience Points Matter. . .”

A Buckaroo Banzai reference and an Exit 57 reference in he same day? Now THAT is impressive, sir.

I fight more evil everyday before noon than most Republicans do in their entire lives.
Daniel Patterson for AZ House (D-LD29): the real ‘anti-evil’ candidate.

Justin Pierce also wrote: “I am a 24 year old (turn 25 in March) father of 2. I have a beautiful supportive wife named Rachael who is also 24. Our children are Allyssa (3 1/2 years old) and Zachary (6 months old). We are very loving and hard-working parents who only want what is best for our children and our children’s children. I have a degree in English from the University of Arizona and I am a huge Wildcats fan. I have 2 great dogs; Moses (a mastiff) and Tuffy (a maltese poodle), both of whom drive my family crazy! I was born in Tucson in 1983 and have lived here my entire life. I go to church at Pantano Christian Church, and my priorties in life are as follows: 1) God 2) Family 3) Work/Politics/Community Affairs 4) Arizona Wildcats (jk).
The first thing that you must know is why I am running for office. I’m doing it for my family and for the families of my fellow Arizonans, not to make them proud of me, but to make their world they live in a better place. In every decision that I make, in every issue that I stand on, and in every battle that I fight my decisions will be based on the what is best for the family.”
He sounds like a regular guy to me. I don’t see you getting off your duff and standing for office. I don’t care who you are, it is thankless heart breaking experience especially if you have unpopular opinions. People who run no matter what party or platform deserve a lot more respect.
Your little smear did you no favors here pal. No class!

Um…I have run for office, twice.
