Saradnik Resigns
Lena Saradnik, who late last year suffered a stroke, has resigned her seat in the state House of Representatives.
There had been speculation among local political reporters that she may not be able to serve out her term, including one reporter that asked me about it regularly.
We here at R-Cubed hope that some time out of the legislature will help her recovery.

Representative Saradik was an incredible legislator. She was always prepared for her committees and always asked the tough questions. Her resignation leaves big shoes to fill.
Praying for her complete recovery,

Bummer, but understandable in this situation. Lena did a good job in the State House.
Wishing her the best for a full and strong recovery.

A sad day for us in District 26.
It would be my guess that Don Jorgenson will receive a serious look at the position.

Lena Saradnik is A++++, classy human being (along with being very smart). I hope she gets well and serves in public office again in the future.

For those of us who live in LD26 and saw how hard Lena worked to take this seat from the GOP, this is truly heartbreaking. She is a person of great vigor and vision who was busily making a name for herself in the Legislature. I agree with Gretchen that Southern Arizona would be blessed to have Lena in a position of leadership again in the future.

The AZ legislature will miss Lena’s intelligence and hard work. My thoughts and prayers are with her.

As someone who lost my mother two years ago at exactly Ms. Saradnik’s age, I hope that her and her family get to stay together a lot longer in health and happiness. There are definitely some things more important than politics.
I would certainly hope, if at all possible, that she get the chance to return to politics if it is her wish.
My family will pray for her comfort and strength as she battles back.
God bless, Lena.
