Greg, You Disappoint Me So…

It is not Greg Patterson’s job to satisfy me. As a matter of fact, if I were happy with Greg’s stuff on any sort of regular basis, it would be time for both of us to check our meds. We’d both need more.

But, I have to say I am disappointed in the former State Representative. You see, last week I recieved this release from Harry Mitchell’s office announcing the hiring of Robbie Sherwood to run his district operation. I have been making a point of scouring the Epistles of Espresso ever since waiting for the handwringing.

None. Geez, what gives?

For a while, Sherwood seemed to be Patterson’s bête noire. Well, bête noire, may be a bit strong, but it gives me the opporitunity to use fancy diacritic marks. Actually, Patterson seems to have little use for any of the fish-wrap section of our state’s media in general. I was thinking that Patterson would use this as another example for how the Republic, which employed Sherwood before he took a consulting job, has some leftist bias. It’s a laughable charge to those of us who take pride in our leftist biases, but none the less…

But -sigh- no histrionics. What is a boy to do?

Interesting to me is that Sherwood worked for Jason Rose, one of the higher of our state’s Republican muckety-mucks. Beleive me, seeing a press release from a Democratic official’s office that even contained the minimum of praise for Rose that this one did curdled parts of my midsection. Even though it seems that Sherwood handled mostly non-political clients (you know, Ballet Arizona, who are of course, fascists…), I wonder, if his leaving a well-placed Republican firm to work for a Democrat says something about what some of the Republican intelligencia (and I use the term loosely) really think about their chances of taking Mitchell out.
