Explorers’ Websites

Someone sent me this tidbit yesterday. Blog for Arizona has already tackled it, but why use that as a reason to deny it from you, my reading public?
Both Tim Bee and Russell Pearce have websites up. As we all know, both are “exploring” their candidacies. I have always equated “exploratory candidacies” with “experimenting with drugs.” It […]

It Is Like a Cold Knife Plunged Deep In My Soul…

A few of you have signed up for FeedBlitz. I get updates on who is signing up. Turns out, I also get updates on people who end their time on the service, including the reason for leaving. I got my first e-mail from the service telling me of a person unsubscribing:

You’ve Got a Friend

I spoke with Rebekah Friend, Executive Director of our state’s AFL-CIO, on Monday. She remarked that I haven’t mentioned her.
Geez, with all of the garbage that gets thrown at me, people want to be mentioned? Who knew?
As it turns out, there is an honor that Friend has managed to garner this week: the Arizona Capitol […]

Bennett Not Running

The big political news today is that Ken Bennett is not going to run for congress after all. Some Republican higher ups were concerned that the troubles involving his son would have made it impossible for him to run. Personally, I didn’t think that what his son did was worthy of a campaign issue unless […]

Chewning Up Political Scenery

A correspondent reported to me this morning that they saw an ad for Gene Chewning, who apparently wants to run for congress against Raúl Grijalva. Chewning, you may remember, was the candidate who came about 10,000 votes short of beating Phil Lopes in the 2006 election. This would be impressive except that only about 35,000 […]
