The talk in the Dee of Cee is that Alberto Gonzales, our favorite cabinet official, will be announcing his resignation today.
The sick bastard partisan inside of me kind of wanted him to stick around so he could bring the whole crew down. Of course, how much further down can they go?

… and as recently as yesteray he was lying about it, denying (through a spokesman) that he planned to resign.
I guess he had to stay true to form until the end.

Fear not, Tedski. Look at who will replace him (Cherotff) and look at who will replace the Replacement (Johnson). Moving Bush cronies around will give Congress plenty of chances for some real oversight for a change.

I have a feeling this is just the beginning of the exodus of corrupt Republicans who need to “spend more time with their families”.
