That Didn’t Take Long

John Kromko has told the Tucson Weekly’s Jim Nintzel that he will not be running for mayor after all.
Here I was ready to do a whole post on the technicalities of his race. Geez.

So does Walkup have any competition at all?

Bummer. He may not have had much of a chance, but he sure as hell would have made it a lot more interesting.

He (Kromko) can still make it “interesting” if he so chooses. The Greens endorsed his initiative, why shouldn’t K put his “organization” behind the candidate he’s left standing in the ring? Seems to me a joint speaking tour is in order — does anyone else want to hear more?
All this turmoil is K’s doing, but he’s now the ’seasoned gladiator’ who left a ‘newbie’ to fight the Devil. It would not be very smart for “the wily former legislator” to just take a hike. Especially if his Green registration was a true expression of conviction and not just a flag of convenience.
