I really like Ann but I can't bare to lose this seat again. She has to prove that she can pull it off and she's not instilling a lot of confidence in the folks of CD1, that really want a Dem to win this time. She has been a good legislator, except for insulting Albert Tom the way she did. That hurt Albert and it hurt her relationship with the Navajo people more than is realized by us outsiders. I mean, she easily won reelection last year in LD2 which you so keenly pointed out as being 68% Native-American... They have to select a person with close Native-American ties that will commit to representing the whole district, not just Flagstaff. Because if they pick a person that is only popular in Flagstaff and an influential tribal member runs and knocks the Flagstaff appointee out, then Flagstaff is cut off from any real legislative representation at least until 2012.
