Monday Morning Notes
I didn’t post this weekend…recovering from Beckham hype…isn’t he so dreamy?
Over the last couple of weeks, I have had several conversations that started this way:
“Don’t use this on your blog, but…”
Don’t use this on your blog? What good does that do me?
I had one conversation like this months ago, so I kept my mouth shut. Turned out, it was in the Star that morning! Sheesh. These same folks probably get tweaked if I don’t post anything that day.
A related snit is the guy that complained that I didn’t have any new posts. I said, “What are you talking about, I posted twice this morning.” “Oh, I haven’t read it in a few days.”
One new thing is that I added a link to Matt’s Madly Musings. It is run by Matt Jewett (no relation to Jack, and everyone asks him that), who I walked a few neighborhoods with back when he was in college. Yep, taught him everything he knows. So proud to see them grow up.
Of course, I didn’t teach him grammar. Madly? Geez, lets talk about the difference between an adverb and an adjective.

Your former English teachers would be gratified to know you were paying attention to their grammar lessons back in the day. Teaching grammar has become a thankless task.

Hey, I don’t care if you take issue with my grammar, as long as you made clear I am not a Republican. But I appear to be one of the last Jewetts in this state, and unlike that other guy, I’m not moving to California.
