New Faces on Saturday at Six Brought You Back to Me

Senator Hillary ClintonMy Lord.

Well, she’s gone and done it. It’s like she read my post about my doubts about her candidacy and Hillary Clinton went and decided that she would tick me off even more. She’s now descended down my hierarchy of Democratic nominee wannabees down to somewhere below Dennis Kucinich and Mike Gravel.

What, you may ask, what was the burning issue that has diminished her in my eyes?

Today she announced that her campaign song is…

“You and I” by Celine Dion.

Word to Republicans who want to send out snarky press releases about this…Dion is not only Canadian…she’s French Canadian.

Anyway, the Clinton campaign has posted a video on YouTube introducing the choice. The video is a parody of the infamous final scene of The Sopranos so it features Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believing” (which was used in Wesley Clark’s campaign). You notice that Clinton flips through the juke box and skips over the far better choices “Suddenly I See” by KT Tunstall and “Right Here, Right Now” by Jesus Jones (also, she skips a song by Dion’s fellow northerner, Shania Twain).

Am I imagining things or is Bill wearing a Guyabera?
