The zeitgeist about this one is that Robert Gates wants to bring in his own man, and Peter Pace is seen as Donald Rumsfeld’s man.
Anyone think that this actually changes a darned thing? So, will this new admiral he likes be in charge of the war or will it be this Douglas Lute fellow?
