House Budget to be COWed Today

The budget being pushed by House Republicans will be brought up before the Committee of the Whole today, the first step to getting it passed but also one more chance to amend it. The folks I spoke with aren’t sure if Speaker Jim Weiers has the vote to pass it, even with Pete Rios and Linda Lopez (who spent some time in his office yesterday afternoon).
As for the substance, observers expect it to be a bit more in line with the Senate bipartisan budget.
