More details later, but it appears that members of the renegade Heptarchy have voted with Speaker Jim Weiers and his retrograde budget proposals. Thanks for being pals, guys!

If they did, then they derseved to be recalled and-or voted out in the next primary. every one of them. They should also be ex-communicated by the Arizona Democratic Party and then the party should get involved in the primaries against them.

This is why they need to be purged from our ranks. This should not be allowed to stand. Yes, it’s one thing to have your own views (and I am not a litmus-test person), however, in something as all-important as the budget, you gotta have part unity or why be in the caucus in the first place?
They need their money cut-off, they need to be primaried, and they need to be blackballed from ever running again. Furthermore, Janet should veto ALL of their pet bills. Jerks.

Good point. This is all about putting the lives of Arizonans at risk over their petty bullshit excuses or hurt feelings.
We all know the Weirs bill is going to mean less money for education, less money for law enforcement and less money for the environment.
So they chose to let Arizonans “Fend for themselves”- the Republican philosophy in order to make a point with the Governor?
How utterly immature and disgraceful and unethical.

So I wonder what Olivia, Pete and Linda get in return for their votes?

Well, it certainly won’t be one of Weiers’ pizzas, Tucson Mark.

Please do by all means have a purge within your party. We are tired of loosing because our side (the Republicans) are so fractured. Misery loves company.
Maybe both parties could purge until independent registrations become the majority.

I remember all of the handwringing when Pete Hershberger lost his committee chairmanship. How harsh the mean, old Republicans were for punishing their own, blah, blah, blah… Welcome to our world, libs. Tedsky can style it as petty issues or whatever but a rebellion is still a rebellion. People wonder why the house leadership never negotiated with Lopes and the Senate negotiated with their democrats? It’s because Lopes has done a terrible job of leading his caucus. This fissure is exhibit “A”.
