Things Most Sensible Straight Men Would Not Refuse, Part VII

Sheryl CrowSo, let me get this right, Karl Rove told Sheryl Crow not to touch him? You know, folks are right about me, I just don’t understand the Republican mind.

Of course, these are guys that think that Ann Coulter is “hot.”

  • Sheryl Crow quote:

‘Now, I don’t want to rob any law-abiding American of his or her God-given rights, but I think we are an industrious enough people that we can make it work with only one square per restroom visit, except, of course, on those pesky occasions where two to three could be required.’

One square? I’m not sure I’d want her touching me either. Especially before dinner.

    Just nasty.

  • Framer,
I’ll give you the stupidity of her ‘no square to spare’ position but seriously…

I’m sure she washes her hands afterward so there is no need to get so bent out of shape. I’ve read this marginally relevant counterpoint on several sites and you people are really reaching here. Why counter with a personal attack instead of the NRO reporter’s version of events?

  • Does this then explain why Jeff Gannon had more than 200 all-nighters at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue perhaps?

  • Personal attack? I wasn’t aware that Ted was making a serious observation with his point. Obviously, if a door was left this wide open, it was fair game. I wasn’t “bent out of shape,” or trying to teach a universal truth. Seriously, take down the “take offense” meter down several notches.

I don’t know if Crow’s and David’s version of events is true, I highly suspect it isn’t. Frankly however, I do not care. I didn’t view Ted’s comments as a personal attack on Cheney.

And I didn’t pick up the “talking point” and spread it in Cheney’s defense, although it does appear that other people are making the same joke. Even Rosie O’Donnell is making jokes about it.

If your sense of humor lies somewhere on the the scale below Rosie 2.0, then you are in serious need of a transfusion.

  • Wow this thread sucks. Now we are talking about Rosie. This bites.

  • Limbaugh is the one carrying on about the ‘one square’ thing. So if you have to keep coming back to it, well why not just change your handle to ‘dittohead clone.’

But you know, I’d rather be worrying about the small amount of manure that might not make it onto the square than the mounds of the stuff that I’ve had to read, listen to or watch (courtesy of Rove) for years now.
